BlueRoom Simulations Pty Ltd is proud to announce that we have been successful in securing funding through the Victorian Government’s Supply Chain Uplift Program (SCUP), an initiative designed to help local manufacturers scale their capabilities and compete for contracts within Australia’s defence industry.
This grant represents an important milestone in our company’s journey, enhancing our ability to participate as a trusted supplier to Hanwha Defence Australia and other major Defence Primes. The program, announced by Minister for Industry and Advanced Manufacturing Colin Brooks on 11 August 2025, awarded more than $800,000 in matched funding to 11 innovative Victorian businesses, including BlueRoom.
The funding will have an immediate impact on BlueRoom’s development capacity, enabling us to upgrade systems, advance product development, and expand our research into new simulation solutions.
As part of this project, BlueRoom has already digitally rendered the Hanwha Redback Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV). This high-fidelity model serves as a testing base to validate and expand our Mixed Reality simulator. By integrating the Redback into our suite of simulation environments, we are positioning BlueRoom to support upcoming LAND 400 Phase 3 programs as well as a wide range of operational training needs across the Australian Defence Force.
For BlueRoom, this investment not only accelerates our technical growth but also enhances our ability to create new jobs, attract further investment, and expand into export markets. With our headquarters in Clayton South and manufacturing conducted entirely in Victoria, we are proud to be part of the state’s advanced manufacturing ecosystem.
